The air-Q’s Smart Alarms - Fire, Gas, Cigarette Smoke, Presence.
Fire and smoke alarm with push/email messages
The air-Q has a built-in fire alarm (or smoke alarm) that triggers an acoustic and visual alarm on the device. By combining several high-quality sensors, the air-Q acts as a very fine and precise smoke detector that triggers significantly earlier.
Optionally, the fire/smoke alarm can also be configured as a push notification and email notification.
Note: The air-Q cannot be used as a legally required smoke detector, since requirements such as installation location and fail-safety/independence from mains power aren’t met. This is because the device is powered via a power cable rather than by battery. However, the air-Q can complement an existing smoke detector, notify about potentially dangerous situations, and thus potentially raise the alarm noticeably — possibly decisively — earlier.
Fire Alarm and Smoke Alarm
Carbon Monoxide (CO)
> 230 mg/m³
Air Temperature (T)
> 70 °C
Particulate Matter (PM₁)
> 400 µg/m³
Particulate Matter (PM₂.₅)
> 500 µg/m³
Particulate Matter (PM₁₀)
> 600 µg/m³
Gas alarm for hazardous substances with push/email messages
The gas alarm built into the air-Q responds sensitively to various hazardous substances. If the measured values are exceeded or fallen below, the gas alarm is activated and an acoustic and visual alarm is triggered on the air-Q. Optionally, the alarm can also be sent as a push notification or email.
Depending on which sensors are present, the gas alarm is triggered at the following threshold values:
Gas Detector for Hazardous Gases
Oxygen (O₂)
< 13,0 %
Ozone (O₃)
> 1.000 µg/m³
Nitrogen Dioxide (NO₂)
> 20.000 µg/m³
Ammonia (NH₃)

Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S)
> 50.000 µg/m³
Methane (CH₄)
> 0,5 %
