This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.
What do we use your data for?
Some of the data is collected to ensure the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Analysis Tools and Third-Party Tools
When you visit our website, your browsing behavior may be statistically evaluated. This happens primarily using cookies and so-called analysis programs. The analysis of your browsing behavior is usually anonymous; the browsing behavior cannot be traced back to you. You can object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. Detailed information can be found in the following privacy policy.
You can object to this analysis. We will inform you about the objection options in this privacy policy.
2. General Information and Mandatory Notices

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
When you use this website, various personal data is collected. Personal data is data that can be used to personally identify you. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens.
We would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Note on the Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Corant GmbH, Karl-Heine-Str. 99, 04229 Leipzig, Germany
Phone: +49-(0)341-97856749
Email: info (at) air-q (dot) com
The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (such as names, email addresses, etc.).
Revocation of Your Consent to Data Processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can revoke consent you've already given at any time. An informal email to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority
In the event of violations of data protection law, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for data protection matters is the state data protection officer of the German state in which our company is headquartered. A list of data protection officers and their contact details can be found at the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.
SSL or TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address bar changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock icon in your browser bar.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Encrypted Payment Transactions on This Website
If, after concluding a fee-based contract, you’re obligated to send us your payment details (e.g. account number for direct debit authorization), this data is required to process payment.
Payment transactions using common means of payment (Visa/MasterCard, direct debit) are carried out exclusively via an encrypted SSL or TLS connection. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address bar changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock icon in your browser bar. With encrypted communication, the payment data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Access, Blocking, Deletion
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient, and the purpose of data processing, and, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time using the address given in the legal notice if you have further questions on the subject of personal data.
Objection to Promotional Emails
The use of contact data published within the scope of the legal notice obligation to send unsolicited advertising and information material is hereby objected to. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising being sent, for example through spam emails.
3. Data Collection on Our Website
Cookies
This website partly uses so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offering more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted after your visit ends. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.
Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you desire (e.g. the shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure a technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies to analyze your browsing behavior) are stored, these are treated separately in this privacy policy.
Since 2015, all websites in Germany have been required to inform their visitors about the use of so-called cookies. This declaration fulfills this requirement.
Every online shop, forum, and other website that handles personal data has cookies on its pages. Cookies help assign you, as a visitor and customer, to your account or shopping cart. They consist of a small text file and are stored on the user's computer after logging into an account. From this point on, the website recognizes you. Without a cookie, you would remain unknown to the online shop or forum, and access would be denied to you.
We therefore use cookies, among other reasons, for two purposes:
- As an existing or new customer, you can log into an account you've created
- You're able to use the shopping cart
Another possibility for using cookies is visitor overview. There are technical tools that let us, among other things, see how many people visited our pages within a certain period. For such cases, we use the Google tool Google Analytics. Cookies are also required for its operation, which we’d like to point out here.
According to the new directive, you're permitted to consent to or decline the use of cookies on our pages. If you confirm the use, you can continue your visit as normal, log into your account, and use the shopping cart. If you don't consent to the use, the two last-mentioned options will be unavailable to you for technical reasons.
Server Log Files
The operator or the commissioned provider collects data about every access to the website (log files). This data includes the name of the accessed
- Website
- File
- Date and time of access
- Amount of data transferred
- Notification of successful access
- Browser type and version
- The user's operating system
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
- IP address
- Requesting provider
This data is used only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operating, securing and optimizing the website. The operator reserves the right to further examine the data if there’s a justified suspicion of unlawful use. This website is hosted by the service provider webflow.com. Further information on Webflow.com’s privacy policy can be found at the following link (English): https://webflow.com/privacy
Contact Form
If you send us inquiries via a contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.
The processing of the data entered into the contact form is therefore based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal email to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of the data processing operations carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.
Subscribing to Comments
As a user of the site, you can subscribe to comments after registering. You'll receive a confirmation email to verify that you're the owner of the specified email address. You can unsubscribe from this feature at any time via a link in the notification emails. In this case, the data entered as part of subscribing to comments is deleted; however, if you've provided this data to us for other purposes and in another context (e.g. newsletter subscription), it will remain with us.
Storage Duration of Comments
Comments and the associated data (e.g. IP address) are stored and remain on our website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments must be deleted for legal reasons (e.g. offensive comments).
Legal Basis
Comments are stored on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke consent you've given at any time. An informal email to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
Registration on This Website
You can register on our website to use additional features on the site. We use the data entered for this purpose only for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we'll reject the registration.
For important changes, such as to the scope of the offering or technically necessary changes, we use the email address provided during registration to inform you in this way.
The processing of the data entered during registration is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke consent you've given at any time. An informal email to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of the data processing already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data collected during registration is stored by us as long as you're registered on our website, and is then deleted. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
Processing of Data (Customer and Contract Data)
We collect, process and use personal data only insofar as it’s necessary to establish, structure the content of, or modify the legal relationship (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data to fulfill a contract or pre-contractual measures. We collect, process and use personal data about the use of our website (usage data) only insofar as this is necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it.
The collected customer data is deleted upon completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
4. Social Media
Links instead of social media plugins
This website embeds no social media plugins, like buttons or share buttons. The LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and X icons in the footer are plain hyperlinks to our profiles on those platforms.
This means no connection to those networks is made when you open our pages, and no data is transmitted to them. Data is only transmitted once you actively click one of these links and open the platform in question. From that point on, that provider’s privacy policy applies.
Earlier versions of this privacy policy named Facebook, LinkedIn and XING plugins at this point. These are no longer in use.
5. Analysis Tools and Advertising
Consent and cookie settings
We only use analytics and marketing services where you have consented in advance (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). On your first visit you can decide for each service individually in the cookie banner. You can change or fully withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer; withdrawal takes effect for the future.
Your decision is stored solely locally in your browser (localStorage, key “airq-cookie-consent”). No cookie is set for this purpose and the decision is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
Until you have consented, the services listed below are not loaded. For the Google services we additionally use Google Consent Mode v2: until consent is given, the signals “analytics_storage”, “ad_storage”, “ad_user_data” and “ad_personalization” are set to “denied”.
Google Analytics 4
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). It is used only after you have consented.
Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies that enable an analysis of your use of the website. It records in particular the pages you view, time spent, approximate location, device type and browser, and the source that brought you to us. Your IP address is truncated by Google and is not combined with other data.
The purpose of the processing is the statistical evaluation of website use, in order to improve our offering and our advertising.
We measure the transition from this website to our shop at shop.air-q.com across domains, so that a visit which begins on this website and continues in the shop is counted as one journey rather than two separate visits.
A transfer of data to the USA cannot be excluded. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission issued an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023; in addition, we have concluded the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses and a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with Google.
Further information on how user data is handled can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Ads and conversion tracking
We use Google Ads, the online advertising programme of Google Ireland Limited, together with conversion tracking. It is used only after you have consented.
If you click on an advertisement we have placed, a cookie is set which recognises whether you subsequently carry out an action relevant to us — for example submitting a form or moving to our shop. This tells us the total number of users who clicked an advertisement; you are not personally identified in the process. The purpose is measuring the success of, and accounting for, our advertising.
As long as no advertising consent is present, the “ads_data_redaction” function is additionally active, which removes advertising identifiers from the requests sent to Google.
Meta Pixel (Facebook)
We use the Meta Pixel provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland — only after you have consented.
The Meta Pixel allows us to define visitors to this website as a target audience for advertisements on Facebook and Instagram, and to evaluate the effectiveness of those advertisements by tracing whether users reached our website after clicking an advertisement. If you are logged in to Meta, your visit to our site may be attributed to your profile there.
For the collection and transmission of the data, we and Meta are joint controllers within the meaning of Art. 26 GDPR. The subsequent processing by Meta takes place under its sole responsibility.
Further information can be found in Meta’s privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.
You can additionally manage your settings for interest-based advertising here: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.
Matomo (self-hosted, cookieless)
For basic reach measurement we use Matomo, an open source analytics application which we operate ourselves on our own infrastructure at matomo.air-q.com. No data is transmitted to third parties and no transfer to third countries takes place.
Matomo is deliberately configured for data minimisation on this website: no cookies are set, no cross-device recognition takes place, and IP addresses are truncated. It records the pages viewed, the referring source, and coarse device and browser information.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a data-minimising statistical evaluation in order to improve the operation and content of this website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Since no information is stored on or read from your terminal equipment in the process, in our assessment no consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG is required. You may object to this processing at any time under Art. 21 GDPR using the contact details given in our legal notice.
ADCELL (affiliate tracking)
We participate in the ADCELL affiliate network operated by Firstlead GmbH, Rosenfelder Straße 15–16, 10315 Berlin, Germany. It is used only after you have consented.
If you reach us via an advertising partner’s link, a cookie is set which allows a subsequent purchase to be attributed to the referring partner and their commission to be settled. No personal identification takes place. The purpose is the settlement of our affiliate programmes.
Further information: https://www.adcell.de/datenschutz.
Services no longer in use
Bing Ads (Microsoft Advertising) is no longer used on this website. Earlier versions of this privacy policy named that service as well as the now-invalid “Privacy Shield” agreement.
6. Newsletter
Newsletter data
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on this website, all we need from you is an email address. No further data is collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively to send the requested information and do not share it with third parties.
Subscription uses the double opt-in procedure: after you submit the sign-up form, you receive an email in which you have to confirm your subscription. Only after that confirmation do we add you to the distribution list. This ensures that the address given really belongs to you. As evidence of consent, we store the time of the sign-up and of the confirmation.
Listmonk – management and delivery
We use the open-source software Listmonk to manage and send our newsletter. We host Listmonk ourselves, on a server we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Your newsletter data is stored exclusively there; it is not passed on to the software’s developers or to any other third party.
We do not evaluate your individual opening or click behaviour. We do not use tracking pixels (so-called web beacons) to determine whether and when you opened a newsletter message.
Technical email delivery
For the technical delivery of the emails we use Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) provided by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, 1855 Luxembourg. Delivery runs through the Frankfurt am Main region (eu-central-1). A data processing agreement is in place with Amazon Web Services. Insofar as personal data is transferred to the USA in this process, we base this on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission issued an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023, supplemented by the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Legal basis, revocation and storage period
The processing of the data entered in the newsletter sign-up form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link at the end of every newsletter message. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you provide to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter is stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and is deleted after you unsubscribe. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.
7. Plugins and Tools
YouTube
We embed videos from the YouTube platform, operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Videos are embedded in extended data protection mode via the youtube-nocookie.com domain and only after a click: when a page loads, initially only a preview image is shown. Only when you actively start the video is a connection to YouTube’s servers established and the page you visited transmitted to it. Until then, no data is transmitted to YouTube.
Further information: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Vimeo
On individual pages we embed videos from Vimeo LLC, 330 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001, USA. Here too, a connection to the provider’s servers is established when the relevant page is opened.
Further information: https://vimeo.com/privacy.
Cloudflare Turnstile
To protect our forms against automated submissions (spam) we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
Turnstile uses technical characteristics of your browser to check whether the submission comes from a human. Your IP address and browser information are transmitted to Cloudflare for this purpose. Turnstile sets no cookies for advertising purposes and creates no user profile. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Further information: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
Fonts
All fonts used on this website are served from our own servers. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other external font provider, and no data is transmitted to third parties for this purpose.
Google Web Fonts and Google Maps, named in earlier versions of this privacy policy, are no longer in use.
8. Hosting and Content Delivery Network
Hosting and content delivery network
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, and delivered via their global content delivery network.
When you open our pages, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address, the content requested, the date and time of the request, and browser and operating system information. This processing is necessary in order to provide the website securely and reliably and to defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses apply to transfers to the USA; Cloudflare, Inc. is also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Further information: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
Images and media files are delivered via our own content delivery network at cdn-static.air-q.com.
This website is no longer operated via Webflow; corresponding statements in earlier versions of this privacy policy are obsolete.
